Dr Robert Herron - "New Breakthroughs in Alternative Currencies for Sustainable Development"

Robert E. Herron has researched alternative monetary systems as a means of stimulating economic development in neglected areas. He is the Director of Policy Development at Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy, Fairfield, Iowa. He has done extensive policy research in many fields. He has helped plan and implement national initiatives to encourage the federal government and private companies to research and utilize prevention and to conduct research to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of alternative methods of prevention. He also conducted research that led to the development of new methods of analyzing medical costs and innovative means for reducing those costs. He also planned and executed research to evaluate a complementary-alternative medicine (CAM) method for detoxifying human body burdens of environmental and occupational toxicants.

Dr. Herron received a Ph.D. in Management in 1993 at Maharishi University of Management where he won the Vyasa Award, which was bestowed for the best Ph.D. dissertation of the academic year. Dr. Herron has also served as a senior policy adviser and researcher for the Natural Law and Reform Parties.
