John Root - "Energy Efficiency is Smart Business"

John R. Root is the Energy Services Advisor for Muscatine Power and Water. His responsibilities include performing energy audits on homes and business, teaching energy efficiency and renewable energy in schools and developing new energy related programs for Muscative Power and Water. In 2001, he received the Rebuild America Partnership Leader of the Year Award for his work improving the Muscatine community through an energy-efficiency initiative known as Energize Muscatine.

Prior to working for MP&W, Mr. Root was the Energy Educator at the Center for Energy and Environmental Education at the University of Northern Iowa.
